Remarks about the opening of the Alexandrian Embassy in Batavia
Ladies and gentlemen,
It is a great honor to finally open after several years of planning and construction the Alexandrian embassy here in Batavia. I am extremely honored to be here in Batavia for the first time. This country has a lot to offer - to micronationalism, to its citizens, to the world. I have been impressed by its vitality and its enthusiasm.
I am optimistic about the development of cultural, diplomatic and economic ties with Batavia. It’s said that when people are looking at the world, an optimist sees the best while the pessimist fears the worst. There are good reasons for us to join with the optimists. Batavia and Alexandria have no reason to quarrel, but every reason to come together and cooperate.
Today, many Alexandrians understand this and that’s why our Government has opened this embassy as another gateway to trade, cooperation and friendship with Batavia. We Alexandrians find in Batavia a land of opportunity, the place where business will grow and expand and where we can establish cultural links. And we are looking very much towards developing and strengthening our relationship. By opening this embassy, we provide a front door to Alexandria and therefore an opportunity to build and strengthen this growing relationship.
To many people in both our nations, our growing relationship has gone largely unnoticed. You can’t blame them because the most important thing that Alexandrians know about Batavia is that we're right next to each other in Cibola. Despite being neighbors and sharing the same concerns for security, prosperity and stability in our continent, we have done nothing to build a relationship. I am here to officially say - we in Alexandria want to change that completely.
I hope every time that you see our embassy, you will know that we mean business. We are serious about building our relationship with Batavia and the opening of this embassy, without doubt, is a practical demonstration of the closeness of our relationship and our determination to work well together.
So I am pleased today to officially declare this embassy open and hope that you all share my sincere hope - a friendship based on cooperation and partnership between Batavia and Alexandria.
